Flowering Shrub Propagation

I always say learning to propagate your own plants is like having a printing press. Today I show you how to propagate flowering shrubs from softwood cuttings. I will try to root butterfly bushes and azaleas.

Ice Storm and Animals

Winter storm that was to dump snow on us in GA never materialized. Instead we had sleet and freezing rain. It was very cold afterwards, and unfortunately many of my animals did not make. Making me pretty bummed about it. Move we all must move on. Pick up the pieces. .

Do the Work.

The election is over, and if your person won or not. In the broad scheme of things it don’t matter much. The work is never done. Trees must be planted. Animals must be feed. Silkies are my new favorite chicken breeds. They are too cute and even though small they are egg machines.

Making Use of What You Have.

I get a load of cardboard. Cardboard makes great mulch. Same goes with leaves, but many say not pine straw. I say make use of what you have. Muscadine grapes grow very well here. I will make use of these by propagating them. Can you say muscadine wine.
